Norfolk Welcomes 2019: creative writing competition

Encourage your pupils to enter our competition and be part of The Friend Ship/Norwich Schools of Sanctuary Story Collection – poster to share

Children and young people are invited to write a short story, poem, comic strip (up to 500 words, accompanying illustrations encouraged) about the importance of welcome, kindness and treating others as you want to be treated.

The winning entries will be included in The Friend Ship/Norwich Schools of Sanctuary Story Collection and one winner will have an accompanying illustration for their work drawn by, refugee and famous illustrator of the Biff, Chip and Kipper books, Alex Brychta!

Entries are welcome from all primary or secondary school pupils in Norfolk. Deadline for entries, 19th July. Teachers please scan and send your top three entries to info@norwichschoolsofsantuary.org or post them to Norwich Schools of Sanctuary, Avenue Junior School, Avenue Road, Norwich, NR2 3HP.
