Avenue Junior School help prepare for the arrival of Syrian families resettling in Norwich

The first of fifty Syrian refugees are moving to Norwich to resettle this month and across the city people have been pulling together to welcome them and prepare for their arrival.

Avenue Junior School raised over £1000 to this end at their annual Christmas carol concert and used the money to buy matresses for each of the homes where the families would be resettling.

The school also collected donations of children’s toys and equipment and each class in school made a card to welcome the families to their new homes.
